LCSW Assistant Clinical Director
Lucy Howell, LCSW, is a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and educator based in New York City. She works with adults, adolescents, couples, and families navigating relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, bipolar spectrum disorders, personality disorders, substance use, and major life transitions.
Lucy earned her Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University, where she completed Behavioral Tech's intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) under Dr. Andre Ivanoff. She has spent the past 12 years providing psychotherapy, leading DBT skills groups, supervising clinicians, and helping develop evidence-based outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment programs.
In addition to her clinical work, Lucy has served as a guest lecturer at Columbia University and Fordham University. She has completed advanced DBT trainings in the treatment of substance use disorders, eating disorders, and PTSD (Prolonged Exposure) as well as intensive psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the William Alanson White Institute.
She has been with Metro NY DBT since 2016.
