Kimberly Messano

PsyD Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Kimberly Messano is a post-doctoral fellow at Metro NY DBT Center. She earned her Psy.D. in School Psychology from the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center.


She has experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults across a variety of settings, including schools, community clinics, and hospitals. Throughout her training, Dr. Kim has utilized cognitive behavioral techniques with a trauma-informed lens to treat individuals with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, behavioral difficulties, trauma, and personality disorders. She also has specialized training and experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).


Her background in school psychology enables her to understand and advocate for the needs of children and their families within the public school system.
