Social Work Intern
Carolyn D’Auria is a clinical social work intern at Metro NY DBT Center. Carolyn is completing the final year of her Master of Social Work degree at Columbia University, where she is a member of the year-long DBT Intensive Training Program. At Metro, Carolyn utilizes dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to support adolescents, adults, and families, both individually and in groups.
Carolyn gained experience as a clinical intern at GenPsych PC, where she delivered group therapy and skills training to adults in an intensive outpatient setting. Carolyn also serves as an administrative assistant at Metro NY DBT Center, providing organizational and clerical support.
Carolyn previously earned a B.S. in Neuroscience and an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Vermont, where she conducted research on autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. She is warm, collaborative, and passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, reading, and spending time with her family and two cats.
