LMSW Therapist
Carolyn utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support adolescents, adults, and families at Metro, both individually and in groups. Carolyn received her M.S.S.W. from Columbia University, where she was a member of the DBT Intensive Training Program. Carolyn was intensively trained in DBT through Behavioral Tech, LLC.
Carolyn previously earned a B.S. in Neuroscience and an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Vermont, where she conducted research on autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. She is warm, collaborative, and passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients by centering a disability justice framework in her clinical practice. She is committed to providing culturally humble care that is affirming of all identities and considerate of the systems of power and oppression that impact our lives.
Carolyn has additional training in DBT for Adolescents, suicide risk assessment, and motivational interviewing. Carolyn also served as an administrative assistant at Metro NY DBT Center for 2 years, providing organizational and clerical support.
