Alyssa Colbert

A graduate of Columbia University with a Master’s degree in Social Work, Alyssa completed a yearlong training through Columbia University’s Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Intensive Training Program and received intensive training in DBT through Behavioral Tech, LLC. She has also completed intensive training in Radically Open DBT (RO DBT), DBT for Adolescents and Families, and DBT Prolonged Exposure (DBT PE).


During her training at Columbia, Alyssa gained experience providing comprehensive DBT to adolescents and adults at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut.


At Metro, Alyssa provides individual and group treatment to adolescents, adults, and families. She has experience providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to individuals and families. She co-facilitates Adult and Multifamily DBT Skills Groups, RO DBT Skills Class, and Adult and Teen DBT Graduate Groups. Alyssa is also a clinician in Metro’s Adult and Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).
